DRAWING MAPS


In this entry we are going to practice speaking and listening skills.
Our students are going to do this activity in pairs. One child will have map A and the other will have map B.

One child will describe his map to his partner and the other one will have to draw it in a white paper, when he finishes they will check it together. Later it will be the turn of the second student.

    Hi, my name is Alfredo. I did this activity with my students last year. It is really interesting how children are able to visually memorize the map and then describe it to their partner. I believe that ICT in this sense fosters this type of capacity in people.

In this entry we are going to practice reading skill.   Our students have to follow the instructions and answer 10 questions we have prepared for them!  1. Color the map as follows: Blue -water, Red -fire station,   Orange - museums, Yellow -stadium, Green -parks, Pink -city hall, Purple -hospital, Brown -cemetery.  2. In this entry we are going to practice speaking and listening skills. The student will make the following questions to their partner and the other child will answer him. Excuse me, how do I get to...? Excuse me, is there a... near here? Excuse me, where is the...? Excuse me, can you tell me the way to...? Everybody will have the map to answer the questions. HELPFUL VOCABULARY
